Our history
The Nordmann Group was founded over a century ago in Fribourg by the family that shares its name. The Group, which is still family-owned, originally made its mark in Switzerland thanks to its successful, retail franchises, including the Manor department stores, Manora restaurants, Jumbo superstores and hardware stores, as well as the Carrefour grocery chain.
In the early 2000s, the Nordmann family decided to realign the Group's business strategy. It is therefore gradually divesting itself of its retail arm and channelling more of its energies and investments into the Swiss real estate sector and international private equity market.
